Riverside.

The city of Riverside is the heart of Southern California's Inland Empire region. With a population of roughly 283,000 and a growth rate of one percent annually, the city is currently ranked as the 11th largest city in California.

Riverside was founded in 1870 and was built on land that was once a Spanish Rancho. Soon after, with the discovery that citrus trees thrived in the area, the citrus industry began to grown and expand rapidly in the area. By 1882, there were more than half a million citrus trees in the California- half of which were in Riverside. As the citrus industry flourished in the area, so too did the city.

Today, Riverside is a robust and growing city with 4 internationally recognized universities, including the prestigious Univeristy of California Riverside, as well as a host of large companies which provide a solid employment base for many residents.
